From Unseen to Visible | Prompts to Connect with Your People

Perhaps the quiz helped you see things more clearly about your next step as you move forward in your business. You may be right at the beginning with only an idea or dream - or you may have had a business for a few years.

The work I do with clients in the Brand Strategy with Soul process moves them through workshops and exercises that lead to a business that is clear, has a solid foundation, and excellent messaging, and reaches the right people so they can still have a life outside work.

Here is a step from the process I’ll share with you below.

 
 

How do you connect with the people who need what you offer?

The truth is, your future clients are already out there. They’re looking for someone like you, but they don’t know you exist yet. That’s what we’re here to change.

These three prompts will help you step into their world, speak to what they’re feeling, and guide them toward you (you amazing lighthouse, you!)—without chasing, convincing, or over-explaining.

 

1. What is your future client searching for or feeling right now?

Imagine your ideal client typing a question into Google or scrolling through Instagram, hoping to find an answer. What are they struggling with? What do they wish they could find?

Prompt: Write a post on social media that answers one of their unspoken questions. “If you're feeling __________ right now, just know that __________." or "If you struggle with __________, I can help."
(Make it clear what challenge you solve. Offer empathy and a small but meaningful encouragement.)

2. What’s a tiny win you can give them today?

Before someone trusts you enough to work with you, they need to feel that you get them. A small, practical tip or mindset shift can build that trust.

Example: A business mentor (that’s you!) might say: “Struggling with what to post? Try this: Write down the last client question you answered. That’s your next post.”

Prompt: Share one actionable, bite-sized tip that helps them move forward right now.

 
 

3. What’s a moment from your journey they would relate to?

People don’t connect with brands; they connect with people. The doubts, struggles, and realizations you’ve had might be the same ones your future clients are experiencing now.

Example: “I used to think marketing meant posting consistently—until I realized that being clear matters more.”

Prompt: Share a personal insight or turning point that helps them see themselves in your story.

(Bust a common myth that might be keeping them stuck.)
